SHINING INHERITANCE on GMA-7 starting August 31, 2009

GMA-7 will air the pilot episode of Shining Inheritance (Brilliant Legacy / Life is Beautiful) on August 31, Monday.

Shining Inheritance is a hit Korean romantic drama that showcases genuine love among couples and family members. Shining Inheritance is top-billed by Han Hyo Joo as Go Eun Sung and Lee Seung Ki as Sun Woo Hwan.

Han Hyo Joo portrays a modern-day Cinderella named Inna, complete with a wicked stepmother and a stepsister. Lee Seung Ki will hopefully be her Prince Charming.

Shining Inheritance apparently was a hit in Korea with their top rating at 47.1%. Shining Inheritance has taken the spot as the number one drama so far this year.

Will this Cinderella story have a happy ending? Let's find out starting Monday on GMA. Shining Inheritance will be shown on Kapuso network, weekdays right after Survivor Philippines.

Lee Seung Ki on Singles Magazine cover

The popular singer and actor from Shining Inheritance, Lee Seung-ki, had a photo shoot for Singles magazine in Tokyo, Japan.

The weather was quite hot and humid but Lee Seung-ki reportedly was very accommodating and cooperative as he changed from one outfit to another.

In the past, he was very popular for his good guy image, but Lee Seung-ki has recently shed that image for the "arrogant-rich-guy" image ever since his drama Shining Inheritance where he appears with leading lady Han Hyo Joo.

Lee Seung-ki appears in the September 2009 issue of “Singles” magazine.

Lee Seung Ki /Lee Seung Gi SHINING INHERITANCE

Lee Seung Ki (Lee Seung Gi)is a Korean Actor and a young male vocalist. He was born January 13, 1987 in Korea.

Lee Seung Ki made his debut in 2004 when he was still high school student. Lee is an active student at school and was the student president in his second year in Sangkye High School.

Lee Seung Ki first started music in high school as the leading vocalist of the school band. While performing with his band in a small theater in Daehagno, he was discovered by Lee Sun-hee, former singer in the late 1980’s and ‘90s. After two years of hard training, Lee Seung-gi first appeared with the song entitled “You’re My Woman.”

In the 2004 MBC Music Awards, he won the "Best New Artist" award. He also won the award for "Best Male Artist" in the 2005 MKMF Awards with his song "White lie" from his 4th album Story of Separation.

Lee Seung-gi has then expanded his career to acting, appearing in a series of television sitcom.

He appears in Shining Inheritance, Famous Princesses, and Nonstop 5.

In Shining Inheritance, he plays the role of Sun Woo Hwan, the spoiled grandson of a CEO who eventually matures with the help of Go Eun Sung (Han Hyo Joo) The drama ended July 26 with its 28th episode after two extensions.

Although busy with his entertainment work, Lee Seung Ki was able to graduate from Dongguk University within 4 years, obtaining his degree on February 20, 2009. He also received a special scholarship from the school.

Han Hyo Joo (Han Hyo Ju)is the lead actress in Shining Inheritance. Han Hyo Joo is also a model. She was born February 22, 1987 in Cheongju, South Korea.

Han Hyo Joo also starred in Heaven's Postman, Spring Waltz, Iljimae, By Land and Sky, Nonstop 5.

She was discovered in a teenage beauty pageant in 2003 and studied at Dong Gook University (Dramatics and Films department).

Shining Inheritance is a Korean Romantic Drama released in June 22, 2009. Shining Inheritance is also known as Brilliant Legacy / Beautiful Legacy. It is also previously known as Life Is Beautiful.

Shining Inheritance stars Han Hyo Joo as Go Eun Sung, Lee Seung Ki as Sun Woo Hwan, Bae Soo Bin as Park Jun Se, Moon Chae Won as Yoo Seung Mi.

This is a modern day Cinderella story. After Go Eun Sung's father died, her younger brother suddenly disappears. Go Eun Sung's step-mother then took all of their assets. Despite this, Eun Sung persevered and worked hard to fulfill her dreams.

Jang Sook Ja, the CEO of a food company, suffers amnesia and can't remember who she is. Eun Sung takes her in, not knowing that she is the grandmother of Sun Woo Hwan, the man who she switched bags with at the airport.

This is the start of their constant bickering and the start of the romantic story. Shown in the Philippines under GMA-7 Network starting August 2009.
